Just finished one week of in camp, still got 4 more days to go...
The week started ok, i was dumped into support company as the coy medic.
Feels weird cos everyone else are already aquainted since NS days, felt out of place.
Luckily some of the sergeants were frenly. :)
Managed to clear IPPT wif silver ;)
Being the coy medic wasn;t really very relaxing, cos everyone comes looking for ya either for medicine or conduct some first aid lessons (of cos i tried to siam la ;p but hard la)
Being a medic spec does have some perks: i need not fall in wif the rest of the guys nor do i did to march around the camp from point to point. hur hur hur hur :)
They also treat me with some respect. most probably due to my 'medical ' knowledge ba ;p
But there are things i'm not happy abt esp the last 2 days during the mission.
I dun quite agree wif the way the commanders treat their men.
Lying to them tat good things will only happen if they perform well.
well i think tats rubbish la, the ops have already been planned so do well or not also the same :P
The most unhappy thing is sometimes the commanders & men treat me like their slave.
Stupid little cut,those normal wounds tat u get outside, all they know is cry 'medic! medic!"
Whenever i hear the shouts for medic, i quicky rush to the scene only to find the guy standing there with a small cut on his finger or just to get some panadols....
This to me is ridiculous, i dun think anyone outside will do such things.
They could've just walked over to me to seek first aid instead of just everyone start shouting for me. Think they've never heard of the story 'the boy who cried wolf'
There i am expecting some emergency cases, then they give me these. Sooner or later, i'll be immune to these calls, strolling to the accident site... ($&#)#&$*(@
Oh ya, i dunno why but the whole company thinks i open Guardian Pharmacy or Watsons.
Kept asking me for all sorts of nonsense drugs.
i remember there was this guy who came to ask for muscle ache relief spray ( the one they use in football )
I hear liao , dunno to laugh or to be angry man....
oh well, it'll soon be over :)
SAF is defintely the place to build up one's patience :)
